The Iowa quarterback competition, once again, is a dead heat.

Ricky Stanzi and Jake Christensen were listed as co-starters on the depth chart released Monday for this week’s game at Pittsburgh (1-1).

Stanzi, a sophomore, has started the past two games. He was sharp against Florida International in Week 2, completing 8 of 10 attempts for 162 yards and three touchdowns, but he struggled against Iowa State on Saturday, making good on just 5 of 14 passes for 95 yards. He was picked off twice, including once when he threw into triple coverage.

Christensen came on in relief late in the third quarter of Iowa’s win over the Cyclones, leading the Hawkeyes (3-0) on the decisive touchdown drive. He completed 4 of 5 passes for 27 yards.

On the season, Stanzi has completed 22 of 38 passes for 347 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. He has a quarterback rating of 115.7.

Christensen, who started the opener against Maine, has completed 21 of 32 passes for 248 yards with two scores and a pick. His efficiency rating is 82.7.
